Toyota Unveils Original Anime Series 'GRIP'

Toyota's new anime series 'GRIP' features a high-octane story about the love of driving, set in a future where driverless cars clash with traditional motorists. The show's protagonists, Jae Kang, Linh 'Nitro' Lam, and Kumail Jo, led by their mentor Master Rugu, embody the spirit of driving against the antagonist Dr. Aron Synth, who aims to replace traditional cars with self-driving vehicles after a personal tragedy.

Haikyu!! Final Sequel Film Shatters Records in Japan

THaikyu!!'s first Final sequel film, Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen, broke records with 1.5M ticket sales and 2.2B JPY ($14.86M) in its debut weekend. Directed by Susumu Mitsunaka, it outpaced Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM as the top opener of '24 in Japan, featuring a clash between Karasuno and Nekoma high schools.

Oshi no Ko Voice Actress Performs Cover of Hit Opening Theme Song

Rie Takahashi, the voice actress for Ai in the Oshi no Ko anime, recently released a cover of the opening theme song "Idol" by YOASOBI. The music video premiered on YouTube on February 2 and has garnered 6.5 million views. Takahashi initially performed her rendition during the "Ichigo Production☆Fan Thanksgiving 2023" event, generating excitement among fans.

The original song by YOASOBI, dominated various music charts in 2023, including Billboard Japan and Yahoo! Japan Search Awards.

Crayon Shin-chan's 31st Film to Premiere in August 2024

TOHO Movies has announced that the 31st 2D animated film of the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, "Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki," will be released in Japanese theaters on August 9. The trailer introduces the film's theme park setting, Dino's Island, and offers 75,000 advance tickets bundled with a capsule charm of "Dinosaur Shin-chan." This decision aims to enhance viewer enjoyment further. The main cast includes
